Islamabad Customs stays surplus with Rs64.21m CD during 29 days of July

ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad generated Rs64.21million surplus Customs Duty during the 1st to 29th of July Financial Year FY2017-18 against the same period in corresponding year FY2016-17.

According to details given by Collector MCC Islamabad Dr. Arslan while talking with Customs Today that, during above said period, the MCC Islamabad earned Rs295.21million of net collection against the collection of Rs231million of CD during the same period of past Financial Year (FY)2016-17.
He further told that, during above said period, all the custom stations, working under the jurisdiction of MCC Islamabad, comprise Islamabad Dry Port Islamabad (IDP), Air Freight Unit (AFU), C. Bond, Unaccompanied baggage (UAB), Accompanied baggage (AB), and International Mail Office (IMO) which showed good performance under the head of Customs Duty during above said period against the same period of last financial year.
He said that, during the 1st to 29th of July, the MCC Islamabad paid Rebate Funds of Rs28.93million whereas it did Rs10.00million during the same period of yester financial year 2016-17. During said period, the IDP earned Rs175.09million of CD while it received Rs113.30million under the same head during the corresponding period FY16-17.
During said period, the AFU got Rs144.09million of CD whereas it did Rs119.93million during the same period of FY16-17 while C. Bond earned Rs1.49million of CD, UAB did Rs1.49million of CD, AB received Rs2.91million and IMO did Rs0.31million of CD during the 1st to 29th of July FY17-18.
