Islamabad High Court will hear several tax references today

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) will hear several tax references on Monday (today) involving Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue and the Federal Board of Revenue’s field offices as appellant and respondents.

At least three benches of the IHC would hear the sales and income tax references. A division bench comprising Justice Noor ul Haq N Qureshi and Justice Athar Minallah will hear three income tax references involving the Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue filed by a citizen.

The bench would also hear a couple of tax references filed by Large Taxpayer’s Unit’s (LTU) Commissioner of Inland Revenue (Legal), Islamabad. These references were filed against M/s Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation Private Limited and M/s Wateen Telecom Limited.

IHC Division Bench comprising of Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyanni would hear income tax reference filed against ATIR and others. These references were filed by Ch Muhammad Asif and M/s Orient Power Company Private Limited, M/s Saba Power Company Private Limited and M/s Fauji Kabirwala Power Company Private Limited. Another tax reference which was to be heard by the bench was filed against M/s Toyota Capital Motors by Commissioner of Income Tax/wealth Tax Companies Zone, Islamabad

Meanwhile, the court would also hear a reference against customs appellate tribunal, Islamabad. In this case, a citizen, Muhammad Javed, was the appellant. The division bench comprising of Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Mian Gul Hassan Zeb would hear it.
