LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday declared a petition filed against increased surcharge on power tariff as admissible.

During the hearing, plaintiff’s counsel told the court that increased surcharge on electricity has irked people. He said that the surcharge was imposed without approval from the competent authority which is illegal, therefore, the court should abolish this decision to ensure relief to the common people.
