LAHORE: Punjab Minister of Social Welfare Sahibzada Haroon Sultan has said that after the computerisation of land record, citizens can get their case records in 30 minutes and get the same attested in just 50 minutes.
Talking to Customs Today, the provincial minister said that land record in 20 districts of Punjab has been completed, which is a great achievement of the government.

Under the project of Land Record Computerisation, the Punjab government has established facilitation centers in 143 tehsils, which are providing facilities to citizens at their doorsteps.

Haroon said that there were many mistakes in manual land record of the province. “After computerisation of the system, mistakes have been minimised and the record is being maintained in a proper way,” he said.

“The land record has complete details of the citizens, like the national identity card and fingerprints.”

Computerisation of land record is a good achievement of the Punjab government and is a facility for the common people, as no one will make fake record of the properties, he added.

He said this computerisation of land record will also prove helpful for revenue collecting bodies, as nobody could hide his property after computerisation.
