Multan ASO seizes non-duty paid car worth Rs 1.5 million

MULTAN: The Multan Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has confiscated a car worth Rs 1.5 million during a routine road checking in Multan city.

According to Customs sources, the ASO team stopped a Honda Civic car in the jurisdiction of Multan city during routine road checking and demanded the legal documents regarding the legitimate possession of the car but the driver could not produce the required documents.

After examining the car, the team cast doubt upon the chassis number that it had been tampered. So the car had been taken into custody for further investigations.

It is learnt that the Multan Customs will take the final decision regarding seizure of the car after the forensic laboratory report of the car. The value of the car is round about Rs 1.5 million.

Apart from this, the ASO has also seized Toyota Surf cabin taken into custody a few days ago after confirmation of cut and wield in forensic report. The expected value of the cabin is Rs 3 million.
