Multan Customs collects Rs702.291m as PD levy in August

MULTAN: Customs Collectorate made revenue collection of Rs702.291 million under the head of Petroleum Development (PD) levy during the month of August.

According to details, High Speed Diesel (is one of the important components in imports which cleared through Multan Dry Port. Multan Customs collected petroleum development levy from oil marketing companies on the clearance of ex-bonding of High Speed Diesel (HSD) shipments from Multan Dry Port.

The Collectorate of Multan Customs collected all taxes from oil marketing companies including customs duty, sales taxes, federal excise duty, income taxes, additional sales taxes, petroleum development levy from oil marketing companies at the time of ex-bonding clearance from Multan Dry Port.

The Collectorate received 97 percent of its revenue collection through the clearance of High Speed Diesel and other petroleum products from PARCO oil refinery of Mehmood Kot. Petroleum Development Levy is a federal tax and after deduction of said taxes they are deposited to OGRA.

The Multan Customs made collection of Rs702.291 million from the from oil marketing companies in wake of petroleum development levy during August. The Collectorate collected Rs1575.27 million during the first two months of the fiscal year 2018-19-May 2016-17.
