Multan Customs collects Rs 5,389.769 million during April‏

MULTAN: The Customs Collectorate Multan has exceeded the revenue collection target by collecting Rs 5,389.769 million during the month of April.

According to details, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) had assigned the revenue target of Rs 4,532.68 million for the month of April under the heads of various taxes, including customs duty, sales tax, income tax and federal excise duty (FED).

the Multan Customs collected Rs 173.086 million against the assigned target of Rs 5,396.619 million in April of the on-going fiscal year 2015-16. The Customs duty revenue collection is dropping day by day due to fall in the prices of the oil/diesel in international market.

The Customs Collectorate had generated Rs 4,076.088 million sales taxes against the set target of Rs 3,497.320 million during the month of April. Although Customs Multan has collected federal excise duty (FED) of Rs 25.923 million against the given target of Rs19.020 million in the course of April.

The Federal Board of Revenue assigned income tax target of Rs27.14 million for April and Customs Multan has made collection of Rs16.813 million.

During the month April, Customs Multan collected additional sales tax of Rs 0.695 million and petroleum levy of Rs1098.820 million.
