MULTAN: The Customs collectorate has hired a consultant in the Q-Mobile tax evasion case of Rs 772 million.
According to details, Customs Multan given the power of attorney to advocate Ahamd Raza for contesting appeal of the Q-Mobile tax evasion case. The Model Customs Collectorate Multan Collector Dr Sarfraz Ahmad Warraich has decided to take services of advocate Ahmad Raza to contest the review appeal against Order-in-Original in Q-mobile mis-declaration case, Customs Adjudication-I.
According to details, Collector Customs Adjudication-I has disposed of the Q-mobile tax evasion, amounting to Rs 772 million, case on technical grounds that the Multan region is not authorized to constitute the case against the accused, as the consignments were not cleared through the Multan collectorate.
It is pertinent to mention that MCC Multan had contested the Q-Mobile tax evasion case without any consultant and deputy collector, additional collector, superintendents have presented their view point in the case during hearing
The Model of Customs Collectorate Multan had filed review petition against issued Order-In-Original No. 441/2014-15 Adjudication-I Collector Dr Fareed Iqbal Qureshi with registering No. 143/2014.
Collector Sarfraz Ahmad Warraich has decided to take services of advocate Ahmad Raza after comprehensive discussion and Q-mobile is already taking services of consultant Afzal Bhatti.
Further Collector MCC Multan has also met with Ahmad Raza for consultation in the matter of Q-Mobile tax evasion case. Now after permitting him power of attorney in the case he will represent MCC Multan in the bench of Collector Appeal Customs.
