Multan Customs to hear Mushtaq Leather Industry auction case today

MULTAN: The Multan Customs to hear tax evasion case against Mushtaq Leather Industry on Wednesday (today). The Lahore High Court (LHC) Multan Bench has directed Mushtaq Leather Indutries for clarification before auctioning of two shops located near Clock Tower Ghanta from Customs Multan.

According to details, Customs Collectorate Multan has decided to auction two shops for recovery of outstanding taxes from defaulter Mushtaq Leather Industry.

Mushtaq Leather Industry imported raw material for the manufacturing of his goods. But they have paid less taxes during their import consignments and Customs have asked them several times for the payment of remaining but they have not replied yet on Customs notices. Customs have taken their Corolla vehicle into custody for the collection of taxers but said importer able to released their vehicles on the court directions.

Customs have asked said importer to deposit duty taxes of almost Rs 40 million but importer refused to clear any liability. The Lahore High Court Multan has called Customs Collectorate Multan for the hearing of auction case on the application of Mushtaq Leather Industry today.
