Multan RTO begins probe into investment in Dubai’s real estate by taxpayers

MULTAN: The Federal Board of Revenue, Regional Tax Office Multan, has started interrogation against the taxpayers who made investment in Dubai’s real estate.

Source told Customs today that the Federal Board of Revenue has given details to the Regional Tax Office Multan to know as to who did investment in Dubai’s real estate.

The Federal Board of Revenue, Regional Tax Office Multan, has started interrogation against taxpayer Safina Syma Khar Malik Ghulam who has done an investment in Dubai.

The property was situated in the Al-THANYAH third community and building’s name was Al-Thayyal. According to a provided detail by the Federal Board of Revenue that the building No: was 3, Land No: 39 and its Unit No is 408.

Said Taxpayer is registered in the Jurisdiction of Regional Tax Office Multan and authorities of Regional Tax Office Multan have formed a special committee for probing the foreign assets of taxpayers who did investment in Dubai.

The authorities of the Regional Tax Office Multan are making scrutiny of said taxpayers wealth statement who filed tax returns in 2013. The FBR’s RTO office widened the scope of its probe into UAE’s real estate investment and trying to fetch details of transactions carried out by Pakistani investors in Dubai.

The Regional Tax Office Multan will take action against said taxpayers after the completion of their scrutiny.
