LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has asked the non-filers to take benefit of the Voluntarily Tax Complaint Scheme (VTCS) and file their returns within the due date.

Official sources said that it was unlikely to extend the date for filing of returns, adding that the Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) has been made as the tax number and non-filers would not be able to deceive the tax collecting authority as their transactions would be detected through their CNICs.
