PAC takes notice of irregularities in land allotment at Port Qasim

KARACHI: The Public Accounts Committee of the National Assembly has taken notice of malpractices and irregularities in the allotment of land at Port Qasim Authority.

Sources told Customs Today that there is corruption and embezzlement of Rs 42 million in allotment of land as most of plots were allotted to favored persons. Sources also revealed that a lot of corruption is also involved in new appointments and through these irregularities the national exchequer incurred a loss of Rs 18.1 million.
