SIALKOT: Ambassador of Paraguay to Pakistan Gustavo Miranda Augusto Valenzuela has invited the Pakistani business community to focus on business with Paraguay having all the trade related benefits in Paraguay and in South American countries.
He has stated this while addressing an important meeting of Sialkot exporters held at the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). SCCI Vice President Malik Naseer Ahmed was also present on the occasion.
Envoy of Paraguay assured his full cooperation in exploring the mutual business opportunities between Pakistan and Paraguay, saying that the Sialkot exporters could explore and capture the international trade markets of Paraguay and South American countries through Paraguay by exporting its world class diversified traditional and non-traditional export products there.
He added that the Paraguay intending to develop the strong mutual trade relations with Pakistan. He said that the Paraguay had developed its strong trade relations with Thailand, China and India and now Paraguay wanted to develop the strong mutual trade ties with Pakistan.
He said that Paraguay would also look in to ensure the direct imports of Sialkot-Pakistan made products direct from Sialkot instead of purchasing the Sialkot made products on high prices from the other countries.
Envoy said that the era of developing the strong trade relations with Pakistan has begun and Paraguay was ready to walk step by step with Pakistan to achieve the goal of developed mutual trade relations with Pakistan.
Addressing the meeting, SCCI Malik Naseer Ahmed said that the time was ripe to develop the strong trade relations between Pakistan and Paraguay, besides, learning from each other’s strength and expertise. He said that Sialkot has lot to offer to Paraguay, saying we should look forward to win-win situation by supplying our quality products and sourcing from Paraguay.
He told the meeting that the present trade volume between Pakistan and Paraguay was quite insignificant as Pakistan’s exports to Paraguay were US $ 10 million and imports from Paraguay were US$ 4 million in 2014.
