Polling held for annual elections of SCCI

SIALKOT:  Peaceful, impartial, transparent and independent polling was held for the annual elections of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) here.

The women entrepreneurs led by Dr Mariyam Nouman showed keen interest in this election by casting their votes.

The polling for SCCI’s Executive Committee Corporate Class five seats was held yesterday (Wednesday) in which as many as 702 registered voters cast their votes.

The polling for SCCI executive committee associate class will be held on Thursday, (today) (Sep 17, 2015), in which as many as 1779 registered voters will elect as many as five members of SCCI Associate Class. Ruling Ittehad Founders Group nominated Maj (Retd) Mansur Ahmed, Adnan Arshad Sethi, Mian Babar Ali, Ashir Elahi and Umer Khalid against opposition’s Mirza Ayaz Baig, Muhammad Iqbal Asad, Zarar Ahmed Dar, Rehan Bin Tahir Mughal and Muhammad Tahir Siddique.
