PPF asks FBR to exempt it from taxes

ISLAMABAD: The Punjab Pension Fund (PPF) has requested the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to exempt it from all taxes under the Income Tax Ordinance 2001 and issue immigration certificate.

According to the details, PPF has written a letter to the FBR in which it asked the board to give it exemptions from all taxes under Part 1 of Schedule 2, Section 57 (3)(xii) of Income Tax Ordinance 2001 on capital gain.

Besides, PPF also asked that it wants to sell its securities on urgent basis for which it also needed immigration certificate under Section 37 of Income Tax Ordinance 2001.
