Earlier, Peoples Labour Union (CBA) General Secretary Noor Muhammad Baloch had warned the port administration through a letter against the act to deprive the workers of their real allowances and against the healthy allowances being provided to the officers.

The administration of Port Muhammad Bin Qasim (PQA) did not pay any heed to the warning after which the CBA, Peoples Labour Union staged a protest at the main gate of the seaport due to which loaded vehicles got stuck. After taking the notice of the protest, the administration held dialogue with the Peoples Labour Union (CBA) to normalize the port activity.

After an hour-long dialogue, the administration of Port Muhammad Bin Qasim (PQA) promised to address all the issues of the Peoples Labour Union (CBA) as soon as possible on which the employees ended the protest.

It is pertinent to mention here that the allowances of the officers were raised by 220% or equal to 73000 to 200000 rupees whereas the employees were given only 73% raise which is equal to only 5000 rupees per month.
