Privilege & Honour Card: FBR seeks top taxpayers’ details by March 16

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has asked top taxpayers to provide computerised national identity card numbers (CNICs) and name of nominee (Director/Member), (NTNs and name of company/AOP till March 16 to finalize the process for Privilege and Honour Card Scheme.

According to the FBR, the list of top taxpayers qualifying for Privilege and Honour Card Scheme, under the Prime Minister Tax Incentive Package, is available on FBR’s website. The board directed that the qualifying companies may nominate one Director / CEO and qualifying Association of Persons may nominate one member / partner, for issuance of Privilege and Honour Card. The CNIC No and Name of nominee (Director/Member), NTN and Name of Company/AOP may be forwarded at the FBR’s emails address, latest by March 16, the FBR added.

The board had issued separate lists of 400 top taxpayers in each category of companies, Association of Persons, salaried individuals and non-salaried individuals, to whom Taxpayer Privilege and Honour Cards would be issued. The FBR had issued the names of top 100 taxpayers in each category of companies, Association of Persons and salaried individuals/non-salaried individuals after verification from the LTUs and RTOs for issuance of Taxpayer Privilege and Honour Cards.

The holder of the card will be entitled to enjoy the following privileges: The facilities and privileges as provided at the VIP lounges of airports managed by Civil Aviation Authority, excluding lounges managed and maintained by Airlines for their passengers; secondly, fast-track clearance at immigration counters; thirdly, issuance of gratis passport; fourthly, increase in baggage allowance from $500 to $5,000; fifthly, invitation for Annual dinner and Excellence Awards by the Prime Minister and invitation for ceremonies on March 23 and August 14.
