DOHA: Qatari maritime conglomerate Milaha has announced that it has appointed Abdulrahman Essa Al-Mannai as president and chief executive officer. He will replace Khalifa Ali Al-Hetmi, who had serviced the company for more than 30 years and announced his plan to retire in July.
Al-Mannai used to lead the commercial planning and allocation functions at Qatargas and has extensive experience in LNG, gas-to-liquids, condensates, shipping and commercial marketing.
“Given his robust commercial background, his experience in many of our core sectors, and his record of performance at Qatargas, the Board and I have full confidence in his abilities to continue Milaha’s strong performance and lead our future growth plans” said Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al Thani, Milaha’s Chairman.
