Quetta Appraisement surpasses revenue collection target

QUETTA: Collectorate of Customs Appraisement collected Rs5.4 billion against the assigned target of Rs3.7 billion, i.e Rs1.7 billion collected over and above the assigned target. This is 42 percent over and above the target.

Chief Collector Balochistan Gul Rehman lauded the performance of Collector Appraisement Abdul Waheed Marwat and his team.

Sources told that during the month of March 2021 collected Rs678 million under the head of customs duty which is Rs582 million above the assigned target.

Collectorate of Customs Appraisement is following Federal Board of Revenue policy of effective monitoring to combat mis-declaration, facilitation of trade through reduction in clearance time, open door policy for redressal of grievances and strict adherence to transparent and merit based decision making.

The Collectorate acknowledges the cooperation extended by Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Quetta, and Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chaman, to encourage legal trade. Moreover, as a part of trade facilitation, In Dry Port Transshipment, the Collectorate has test run the WeBOC module.

By the end of this month, the WeBOC module for Dry Port transshipment will be functional.

Meanwhile, the Collectorate has taken following steps to facilitate the trade;

24/7 GD verification cell under DC HQs for verification of GDs on real-time basis,

Mentioning of Chassis no of vehicle in GD documents in place of registration no.

Issuance of Valuation Advice C.No.Misc/68/2016-I/5551 dated 31.12.2020 for Afghan-origin goods.

Reference for Iran-origin goods already referred to DG Valuation Karachi for issuance of valuation advice/ valuation ruling.
