KARACHI: The Quetta Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation has confiscated a huge quantity of non-duty paid Iranian diesel and narcotics.
Deputy Director Customs Intelligence Inam Ullah Wazeer received information that some elements were planning to smuggle oil and narcotics. On this, he formed a team under his own supervision and started checking vehicles. During the checking of vehicles, the team intercepted a Suzuki car registration no AAF 988 and recovered 120kg charas. The Customs officials seized the narcotics and vehicles while a suspect was arrested. Officials said that the value of the seized narcotics is more than Rs 10.7 million in international market.
Directorate Customs Intelligence has also started crackdown against oil smuggler in Kalat and Panjgur and seized 17 tankers during various raids. The Customs officials said that the value of seized oil is more than Rs 30.4 million.
