KARACHI: The Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Quetta has seized smuggled smart phones and laptops in separate crackdowns.
Sources told Customs Today that the director customs intelligence has strictly ordered his staff not to spare anyone who found involved in smuggling activities. One of the customs teams intercepted high roof pick-up on Warsak Road and recovered 30 smart phones from the secret parts of the vehicle. The Customs team arrested the driver of the vehicle and seized the mobile phones.
During another operation, the customs team raided a shop which was located in computer market and recovered smuggled laptops. The Customs team registered separate cases of smuggling against the owners.
