Quetta MCC needs Rs868m more income to meet assigned collection target in two days

QUETTA: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Quetta needs Rs868million more All Duty Taxes in two days (29th and 30th) to meet the allocated target of June of Financial Year 2016-17. The MCC Quetta was assigned with collection of Rs2273million of all duty taxes target for the whole month of June FY2016-17 whereas it collected Rs1405million during 24 days of the current month FY16-17.

According to details told by sources of the MCC Quetta that during 24 days of June FY16-17, the MCC Quetta generated Rs616million of Customs Duty (CD) whereas the collectorate was allocated with generation of Rs810million under the same head.

The collectorate received Rs579million revenue during 1st to 24th of June FY16-17 under the head of Sales Tax (ST) against the assigned target of Rs1105million for the whole month. During above said period, the collectorate earned Rs16.00million of Federal Excise Duty (FED) while it was assigned with Rs38.00million of FED for the whole month of June FY16-17.

The Collector MCC Quetta told CT that during 24 days of June FY2016-17, the collectorate was tasked to collect Rs320.00million With Holding Tax (WHT) whereas the MCC Quetta generated Rs196million of WHT.
