SC redirects IHC to implement Urdu as official language

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has sent directives to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) for carrying out its decision regarding implementing Urdu as the official language.

According to a SC directive, dated January 6, the apex court had asked Islamabad High Court to implement its order about Urdu language dated September 9, 2015.

The letter was received by the IHC assistant registrar office. Interestingly, the SC letter was also accompanying Urdu format of the decision of Justice ® Jawwad S Khawaja who had given the order about implementation of the Urdu language as official language.
