KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has started taking a stern action against 32 ship-breakers who are involved tax evasion, it is learnt.
According to the source, the FBR has directed the Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) and Large Taxpayers (LTUs) to conduct raids against tax ship-breakers who are allegedly involved in tax evasion of billion rupees and seized their banks accounts.
Sources further told that these ship breakers have not been paying their taxes for the last two years.
