WeBOC significantly improves performance of customs: Asif Mehmood Jah

LAHORE:  Collector Appeals Customs Dr Asif Mehmood Jah in his message on the occasion of “International Customs Day” said that the year 2016 is dedicated to promoting the digitalization of Customs processes under the slogan “Digital Customs: Progressive Engagement.”  World Customs Organization (WCO) Members will have the opportunity to showcase and further promote their use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).

In the 21st century, the digitalization in all the walk of life has played an important part in enhancing work efficiency and development around the world. Likewise, Customs digitalization and automation can also enormously be considered as the potential solution for various complexities and bottlenecks. So far as the digitalization of customs processes is concerned Pakistan Customs has made significant advancements in this context. Clarence through WeBOC system is one appropriate instance.
