ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) will hear two tax references involving a case against the Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR) on Tuesday.
A division bench of the IHC comprising Justice Noor Ul Haq N Qureshi and Justice Athar Minallah would hear the case filed by M/s Mobizone Pakistan (Private) Limited.
M/s Mobizone Pakistan had filed the case, seeking to restrict the Large Taxpayers Unit (LTU), Islamabad, from recovering outstanding tax amount or taking any other coercive move against the petitioner.
Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), officers of LTU including Inland Revenue (IR) commissioner, IR-Appeals and ATIR were made respondent in the case.
Meanwhile, a single bench of IHC comprising of Justice Aamer Farooq would hear a cases filed by M/s Khan Traders and General Order Supplier.
In this case the appellant had also challenged decision of ATIR. The appellant had filed stay application against the decision of ATIR in which the tribunal had sustained decision of departmental adjudication.
The appellant had prayed the court to set aside the decision and direct the FBR field office to restrain from recovering the alleged outstanding tax amount.
